Very early, we find that the only object in life is to grow. A person starts to really live when he can live outside himself...So many of us depend and make a living by what we get, but fail to realize...we make a life by what we give...As I have learned over the years and grown in Christ the 1st lesson learned was that in order for me to live - part of me must die...Daily...I am grateful to God for just the very air to breath, legs to walk with, ears to hear, and all the things we sometimes take for granted..I myself do nothing. The Holy Spirit accomplishes all through me...I am grateful that God is using me as a vessel and for another year of LIFE and I THANK YOU JESUS♥♥♥

At the time, only Belgium, Switzerland, and the Netherlands had legalized the practice. 'How to Die in Oregon' tell the stories of those most intimately involved with the practice today -- terminally ill Oregonians, their families, doctors, and friends -- as well as the passage of an assisted suicide law in Washington State. So even though i know suicide is wrong i was still emotionally touched and sort of confused....How do you sit and watch your loved one die painfully...I know :) some are going to read this and have their views...but I do understand the HUMAN nature of the idea of not wanting to see your loved one in pain and not wanting your loved one to see you in pain....I am not saying that it is Okay..Just what an emotional situation and decision to have to deal with...Check it out for yourself http://youtu.be/IbhoYK5inaE and leave a comment on your thoughts about it....What if your loved one was suffering terribly and in great pain? This recipe couples a rich, smoky coffee aroma with the sweet scent of peppermint -- known in aromatherapy for it's mentally stimulating, energizing properties. Thanks to raw sugar crystals and olive oil, which exfoliate and moisturize, your body gets a pick-me-up, too. It makes enough for two to three applications.

Wake-Up Scrub

Tools and Materials
1/4 cup olive oil
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 cup pure turbinado sugar
15 drops peppermint essential oil (Mentha piperita)
1/2 cup used coffee grounds from a freshly brewed pot
Wake-Up Scrub How-To1. Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl; using a fork, thoroughly blend. Transfer the scrub to a wide mouthed jar, and store in a cool place until ready to use. The scrub will keep for one to two weeks, longer if refrigerated.
2. While showering, apply handfuls of the coffee scrub to wet skin in circular motions, starting at the feet and working up. The scrub contains oil, so it's best to do this over a rubber mat to avoid slipping. Pay particular attention to rough spots such as heels, ankles, knees, and elbows.
3. After scrubbing, cleanse skin as usual using a mild natural soap or body wash. Pat skin dry with a fluffy towel, and follow with lotion to seal in the moisture.

But I say, walk by the Spirit, and do not gratify the desires of the flesh. But if you are led by the Spirit you are not under the law.

"The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, etc." If our Christian walk is to be a walk of love and joy and peace, then "walk by the Spirit" must mean "bear the fruit of the Spirit." But again, the Spirit's work is emphasized, not ours. He bears the fruit. Perhaps Paul got this image from Jesus. You recall John 15:4, 5: "Abide in me, and I in you. As a branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you unless you abide in me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in me, and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit." So "walk by the Spirit" means "abide in the vine." Keep yourself securely united to the living Christ. Don't cut yourself off from the flow of the Spirit.

Birds fell over about a one-mile area, the commission said in a statement.As of Saturday, between 4,000 and 5,000 birds had been found dead, said Keith Stephens with the commission."Shortly after I arrived, there were still birds falling from the sky," said commission wildlife officer Robby King in the statement. He said he collected about 65 dead birds.The commission said it flew over the area to gauge the scope of the event, and no birds were found outside of the initial one-mile area.Karen Rowe, an ornithologist for the commission, said the incident is not that unusual and is often caused by a lightning strike or high-altitude hail.A strong storm system moved through the state earlier in the day Friday."It's important to understand that a sick bird can't fly. So whatever happened to these birds happened very quickly," Rowe told CNN Radio on Sunday."Something must have caused these birds to flush out of the trees at night, where they're normally just roosting and staying in the treetops ... and then something got them out of the air and caused their death and then they fell to earth," Rowe added.......HMMMMM...WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS?

I watched the 2010 Lunar Eclipse :)

On Tuesday Dec. 21, 2010 the first day of northern winter, the full Moon passes almost dead-center through Earth's shadow. The eclipse begins at 1:33 am EST. At that time, Earth's shadow will appear as a dark-red bite at the edge of the lunar disk. It takes about an hour for the "bite" to expand and swallow the entire Moon. Totality commences at 2:41 am EST and lasts for 72 minutes. According to NASA the last total lunar eclipse that happened on the winter solstice was Dec. 21, 1638. The next one will Dec. 21, 2094....I am blessed to have the opportunity to experience it:) Thank you Lord!!!

A taste of summer's best and brightest flavors, strawberry and lemon, is a welcome gift in cold winter months. (The secret is in the freezer aisle—this recipe uses two bags of frozen berries.) Skip the traditional canning process and simply refrigerate the marmalade in glass jars. Tie a ribbon around the neck, and add a thinner metallic twine on top for extra glitter.

Servings: Makes about 3 cups (large batch: about 9 cups)

Ingredients

Strawberry–Lemon Marmalade

2 (1-pound) bags frozen strawberries , about 6 cups (large batch: 6 one-pound bags, about 18 cups)
3 cups sugar (large batch: 9 cups)
1 cup loosely packed lemon peel , in thin strips (from about 6 lemons; large batch: 3 cups, from about 18 lemons)
1/4 cup honey (large batch: 3/4 cup)
1/4 cup lemon juice (large batch: 3/4 cup)
1/8 tsp. fine salt (large batch: 3/8 tsp.)

Directions

Active time: 30 minutes
Total time: 1 hour, 30 minutes

Chill a small plate in the freezer for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, put all ingredients into a large, heavy nonreactive pot and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to medium and simmer, skimming foam off the surface, for 25 to 35 minutes. (The foam can be kept and used as a topping for ice cream or yogurt.)

To test marmalade for doneness, drop a small spoonful onto the chilled plate, wait about 5 seconds, then run your finger through center of marmalade. When it???s thick enough, the line made by your finger should remain clear. If the marmalade holds its shape, remove from pot the stove and proceed to next step. If the marmalade runs back together, continue to cook, return the plate to the freezer, and check again in a few minutes.

Ladle into jars, seal tightly, and cool to room temperature. Keeps for up to 3 weeks refrigerated.

Note: For the best results, choose strawberries that have been frozen without added sugar or syrup....yummy
